Planted in 1989, the 11-hectare (28-acre) Willow Creek Vineyard has taken root in deep volcanic soils, known for producing rich flavours. This cool-climate vineyard produces pinot noir, chardonnay, cabernet, pinot gris and sauvignon blanc. Under winemaker, Geraldine McFaul, Willow Creek Vineyard has grown in reputation as one of the premier producers on the Mornington Peninsula - renowned for elegant single-vineyard wines.

Start with a walk among the vines – over a glass of estate sparkling – and a wander of the winery, where we’ll delve into details of vintages past and our winemaking cast. Stopping by the hotel’s pool deck, settle into a seated tasting in the stunning Geode where you’ll enjoy a vinous voyage showcasing the full winemaking journey: sample ferments and barrel selections straight from the cellar, and our full flight of single vineyard and limited-release single block wines.

Exclusive to in-house guests, Jackalope offers packed picnics featuring some of Rare Hare's most delicious grazing fare. Picnics can be enjoyed by the lake in our vineyard or taken off-property to enjoy at the beach or wherever your whim takes you.
Picnics are priced from $75 per person (off-property) or $100 per person (enjoy by the lake) and include marinated olives, potato focaccia bread, a salumi selection, Caprese salad, herb salad, cured trout, wood-roasted asparagus, roast lamb, local cheeses, chocolate brownies, sparkling water and the option to add beer and wine.
Picnics must be booked 24 hours in advance, via guest services.

Day One

3 pm- Check-in. Enjoy a glass of wine and snack from the complimentary minibar on your private terrace.
5 pm – Wander across the piazza for a complimentary wine tasting at our cellar door.
7 pm - Dinner in Doot Doot Doot. One of Jackalope's two hatted-restaurants, time-honoured techniques meet culinary curiosity in dishes that are methodical yet explorative. Botanically-inspired and drawing on our expansive kitchen garden, Doot Doot Doot delivers an ever-evolving tasting menu, with the option of matched wines.
10 pm - Retire to the hotel's cocktail bar, Flaggerdoot, for a digestive.
Day Two

9 am - Breakfast served in Doot Doot Doot.
11 am – Relax into Jackalope's signature spa treatment. This Wine Immersion treatment includes a Pinot Grape Skin foot soak and body scrub, relaxation massage, and full-body moisturise.
2 pm – Enjoy a long lunch overlooking the vineyard in our winery restaurant, Rare Hare.
5 pm - As the sun dips over the vineyard, sip on cocktails and roast marshmallows by the fire on our tasting terrace.
8 pm – Enjoy dinner at local French bistro, Le Bouchon. Complimentary hotel transfers are available.
Day Three

9 am – For a change of scene, order breakfast to your private terrace.
11 am – Take a coastal drive to the Bushrangers Bay walking track. Filming location for 'Where the Wild Things Are', this 5.4km coastal and bush track offers glimpses of Australian wildlife and breathtaking beach views.
1 pm – En route home, stop by Montalto for a wine tasting and casual lunch in The Piazza. On sunny days, sit in the courtyard that opens onto Wendy's Garden, and the property's picturesque vineyard and sculpture garden.
7 pm – Have a night in. Retire to your suite for in-room dining and on-demand popcorn while you dial up a new release movie.
Day Four

9 am - Breakfast served in Doot Doot Doot.
11 am - Take in the best of the Peninsula's winemaking scene with a private wine tour, hosted by the charming, Arthur O'Brian. Arthur will take you beyond your average cellar-door crawl to meet winemakers, taste wine from the barrel, view private cellars and art collections, wander vineyards, bliss out with a beachside picnic, and collect fresh mussels from a fishing boat.
5 pm – Return to the hotel for a late-afternoon swim and cocktail on the pool deck.
8 pm – Dine at Port Phillip Estate. One of the region's most exciting food and wine destinations boasting vineyard and coastal views.
Day Five

9 am - Breakfast served on your private terrace, followed by a wander through Ali's kitchen garden.
11 am – Catch a couple of hour's sunshine relaxing on the pool deck.
1 pm - Grab a Jackalope Picnic and wander through the vineyard to the lake for a lazy afternoon grazing on a sumptuous selection of Rare Hare fare paired with estate wines.
5 pm – Enjoy a complimentary Lexus transfer to Pt Leo Estate for a wine tasting, a tour of their sculpture park and dinner at their intimate fine dining restaurant, Laura.
Day Six

8 am - Greet the day with morning Yoga (offered every Sunday through summer).
10 am - Breakfast Served in Doot Doot Doot.
12 pm – Set out and explore the local region, sample local produce and stop by Flinders pier to sample Harry's Mussels.
4 pm – Wash away the day with a soak in your Japanese bathtub. Add a DIY treat like our Chai Soak and Shiraz or Milk Soak and Sparkling.
5 pm – Fresh from your bath, enjoy a full-body 60-minute relaxation massage.
7 pm – Spend your final night on-property with one more delicious dinner in either Doot Doot Doot or Rare Hare.
10 pm – Take a late-night dip under the stars, in the 38-degree hot tub. You'll wish you did this on night one.
